Well, you can try out Hostgator. They have great support. Even I was hosting at Godaddy. But, moved to HG and m satisfied with its performance and support. Also, you can try out Hostgator free($0.01 to be precise) for 1st month.
why not try my hosting? i charge £1 per month for the basic package (more than enough for a wordpress install) guaranteed 99.9% uptime, fast load times and all the features of a major host. i would also spend some time with you optimising your wordpress install to ensure very fast load times (its not all about the host, you can affect how fast wordpress loads through a few methods (not just plugins))
i am using liquid web paying 20$ per month for that and its the best host i have ever used in my entire bloging life

Stay away from GoDaddy. Do a Google search re their complaints and lawsuits. Try Dreamhost. Do a reverse IP search and see how many people you'll be sharing your server with. On Dreamhost it's about 25. At Ipage it was about 150. Good luck.
I have a number of my clients blogs on Hostmonster We have been very happy with them. Sites load well, and customer service is top notch.
I was on Bluehost. The biggest problem is there are no other options but shared. So when I grew I had to move everything which is a pain. Now I am on a VPS with inmotion and it's been great so far.
I use Godaddy.com, although I have heard Hostgator.com is far superior. I am personally satisfied with GD, although I may switch to HG in the future.
Has anyone using Hostgator and Adwords gotten dinged with a low Quality Score because your landing page loaded slowly? We got dinged using Ipage. Dreamhost is OK. We're using them now on a shared hosting account. But what about HostGator? Tnx.
