    Hello guys,

Any one has experience with backorder? I want to buy a domain that was expired in May 21 and I want to backorder it.

Can you recommend service for backorder? What about prices?

    thanks

I have approx 10-15% success rate with GoDaddy...not so good if you REALLY want the domain.

Search 'newsvine domain snapnames' or something, read mark's domain capturing story....

Also, eddie has a very good point. Most names you seek are not necessary. You can, or someone can, come up with great names for free that work just as well. Unless of course you're bidding on Diamonds.com or Sex.com that is...

The domain does not have nice name. It just has PR 6 and I like to get it. I did not find it in any list, I just found it in the web by myself. and I did not find it listed in snapNames. Does that increase my chance?

The domain expired in may 22, when it should be totally available for registration?

    Thanks for replies

depends what registrar it is registred with. If it is godaddy go with them, if networksolutions, than go with snapnames and so on.

If its unlikely to be backordered by anyone else then you can try let it expire. If its worth €60 to you then go with Pool.com.

The domain is likely to be available for registration again 75 days after expiration date, but I would suggest you read the following article:

What will happen to the page rank after expiration? Is it going to go or Google will keep it?

I just did whois on the domain and I found:
    Last Updated On:16-May-2007 05:55:38 UTC
    Expiration Date:10-May-2008 16:28:18 UTC
    Registrant Name:pending Renewal or Deletion

And the site shows a page that says this domain expires and offer backorder buttons.. However, I wondering why these is an update on the whois info on 16 May !!!!

    any idea?

There are lags in information for sure....so when you see exp 2008 that usually means it's been renewed or something, but just didn't click with the system yet.

Tell me the domain, I'll see if I can come up with a new version...

Thing here is that GoDaddy is no where close to the tier level of Pool.com or Snap.com

Basically put GoDaddy will always lose should someone backorder the same domain on Pool or Snap.

    It's not renewed.
    It's backordered.
That's how these giants work, like snapnames.
They take the name and put it on auction. (It won't cost anything because if nobody likes it, they will drop it before 5 days.)
