how much should be price for showing 1000 impression of ads? I know it varies per site, still I want to know some number for Photography related site.
It depends on the site Where the placement is, how easy the service is, the nature of your audience, geodemographics etc. Good way to find out is to approach Photography sites that currently offer banner ads. Ask them by pretending you want to advertise.
tops30... good advice... i do the same dshah... its hard to determine... there's alot of variables to the equation... e.g if traffic is targeted... cpm would be higher... must estimate conversion rates etc etc... and alot more...
I have photography related website http://www.pic-palace.blogspot.com/ and i'am using adbrite.... Adbrite offers only .1$ CPM for US traffic that sucks Even if i get high CPM from Advertisers ADbrite puts it in their pocket..
Some CPM companies offers eve 1.80 per 1000 impressions of popups and up to 0.40$ for 1000 impressions of inpage banners. The highest price I saw was for interstitial ads - up to 3.00$ per 1000 impressions I think, that for photography sites the best is to use inpage banner + 1 interstitial per viewer.
Some Photography website ask for high price i used this trick from TOPS30 for this blog and he asked me $10 ecpm and said google adsense doesnt deserve his adspace []
I hate popups so I'd never use them. Most CPM I saw that ended up legit was Adbrite, and that was still pretty low, it all depended on the bidders.
