i have heard about it before.but i had no idea what is API means and what is it purpose?

 

and what is it for? is it related to generating traffic?

Although APIs are designed for programmers, they are ultimately good for users because they guarantee that all programs using a common API will have similar interfaces. This makes it easier for users to learn new programs.

I have never heard of API before but some people said they never do SEO and just do API and get tons of traffic. I still dont get it and how it generates traffic.
