My title is very descriptive, what is an autoblog and how do I set one up. Is it controlled by some sort of script and where does the content come from?

I think title says enough, you can easily set one using pre-made scripts for Wordpress.

Try to search for wp-o-matic or autoblogged.

An autoblog gets posts from feeds and automatically adds and updates the posts on your own blog. You can use a plug-in called autoblogged to set it up quickly and easily.

An autoblog is not the easy solution that it sounds like. It's basically taking other peoples content to populate your blog.
It is not a way to build a successful money making blog.

It's an idea that was popular 3 years ago when it was easier to manipulate search results, as a cheap and easy way to get content for MFA's (blogs that have no other purpose than adsense.."Made for Adsense"), but since then, search engine algorithms have changed tremendously and an autoblog is now nothing more than duplicate content, garbled posts, and in extreme cases, copyright infringement.

It is honestly a waste of time, and everyday, many, many webmasters (many from this very forum) start autoblogs scraping the same content, and chasing the same 10 keywords.

You can't automate running your own business and be successful. Either put the time in and do the work, or do something else.

This is by no means easy.

You really don't want an autoblog. Its not worth it and will end up being a failure.
