    hello,

AMP stands for (Accelerate Mobile Pages)!

If you are using WordPress to make your websites just install the "AMP for WP" plugin and you will have it, if you are coding your sites it might be pretty complicated to implement!

Basically, this will affect your rankings because this is a technology that Google would like to see on any website.

Have you ever seen the little flash when looking at mobile results on your mobile?

When you click on the result the page opens immediately right?

This is because it is using AMP!

The purpose of AMP is to convert all the HTML, CSS, JS code into a more simple code so that people that reside in a country with lower internet speed will still be able to load your sites fast from mobile.

If you are not using AMP on your sites Google will prefer to rank websites that are using this technology!

I hope that this answered your question!

I don't think AMP does affect the ranking as of now but is definitely important for great user experience an AMP site loads in about 0.7 seconds again depending on the content whereas non-amp takes around 22 seconds which is quite a deal for a user to stay on website and keep coming back because of the speed. As for future im sure AMP will be given more importance in the ranking terms.

Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is an open-source coding standard for publishers. The aim for AMP is for publishers to be able to load their sites quickly on mobile since mobile responsive could be clunky and slow because desktop resources are heavy and plenty.

As the name "Accelerate Mobile Pages (AMP)" suggests, AMP is used to accelerate the page loading speed in mobile phone devices. AMP consists of a set of protocols you can use to restructure your websites or applications to lessen loading time but it directly doesn't relate to SEO ranking. But it indirectly can help your website rank in the following way.

If you use AMP for WordPress, then your web pages will load quickly, and mobile phone users will also love visiting your sites. Your website visitors will increase and bounce rate will reduce. Apart from this, Search Engines like page loading speed and mobile friendliness so much.

Yes it affects on google ranking, because as google said in the latest update. It gives preferences to mobile version websites. If you are not using AMP then sometimes your pages can't render properly. So use AMP to rank well.

    Thanks
