Hello Gentlemen, I want you to look at here. I was surfing through the internet, GOOGLE with the term " HELP DEKS " I found this. Now tell me ! what would we call it? Being on top is about PR? Backlinks? Look at point 1 and 2! now 3 and 4, why 1 and 2 are both more up than 3 and 4 ? even they have better pr. And links back?
In my opinion this would just be a case of on-site SEO keyword targeting / dense KW anchors targeted for that phrase. If you're only chasing down one or two major phrases it's not that hard to do especially if you have the majority of your anchors saying that same thing vs. the other sites having many varied anchors.
that simply means that PR doesn't matter with the competition of rankings, its a matter of how good an SEO is on link building the site...
It is not the case. PR is just for links and ranking is mixed with many other factors. Just like keywords, link placement, Alexa ranking(i think) etc. So you can't just say that PR dosen't means anything. What if the top 3 and 4th position are using Google adwords or any other CPC programs? There can be several cases which might have taken them at top.
PR don't directly affect the rankings, and there are hundreds of serp. Also quantity of backlinks is not the major factor to gain higher PR, it's the quality.
It's all about SEO. Once two websites found have equal or similar quality of SEO, it might show the higher ranks first, IMO. Don't forget about geolocation, you searched it from Pakistan. If you search from US, it would be different, as well other countries. And the 1st and 2nd position is natural while 3rd and 4th is paid ones?
PR and backlinks is pretty much the same thing. Your problem is that you are taking the results that you see via some addin, plugin, third-party service as though it were FACT, which it is NOT. In short, your data is faulty. Bompa
It simply shows the .PK sites ranking higher because you are searching in google.pk OR google has taken .PK as your location from your IP address...... OR you are logged into google and it is ranking from past search history (or cookies) Google thus knows that the RP8 site is probably not what you are looking for thus shows it lower.
