Alexa ranking is important to those who consider it so. When I created my blog and wanted to build mailing list it prompted me to take action and put meaningful content and write articles that would drive the traffic and get that ranking up. In the last year I haven't looked at it once.
Yep That's why i think it's not so worthy when over 1,000,000. Indeed when a rank it's under 100,000 you can really say that the site is really visited
