What is a Web Directory ? Could Some Define in Specific Terms

To me a web directory is nothing more then a more advanced way of finding the information your are looking for alot faster without using a search engine. Now whether or not all the mods are needed is another story.

I'm not sure the submitter really cares about these things, most people are only looking for pr. I think the mods are more important to directory owners then they are to submitters. If the mods make the directory easier to run then it only makes sense to have these installed. But as far as installing everything that hits the market might be over kill.
