    I just bought a directory with a .us domain. What is this and what will it effect?

    .us is a tld for United States.

    It wont do any harm, its just like any other tld

    Legally, you need to have it hosted on servers in the U.S.
    If not, there is some chance you can get 'in trouble", or lose the domain.
