What is a team leader player means? I want to get some feed back on the question that is above. I am going to tell you want I think a team leader is about and I would like to get some feed back. 1. Using baseball as an example. It takes lots of players working together to made it into the playoffs. A team leader player is a person who steps up when an outstanding player cannot play for one reason or another reason? An example of a team leader would be Andrea Either and Matt Kemp of the Dodgers this year when Manny Ramiez could not play for 50 games. 2. On the other hand the Dodgers players could have had the complaining attitude that since the Ramiez will not be able to play we cannot beat anybody. The Dodgers could have lost most of the 50 games because Manny could not play. If the Dodgers players would have that complaining attitude might they may not have made it to the playoffs in 2009. What do you think? 3. I think this is a good lesson to learn as you work with a team of people in any area of life. I would like to hear some of the team lesson you have learn in your life. A team leader IMHO is someone who will get the job done, period. And will be able to motivate those around him to get it done. Leaders are masters at strategic delegation and job efficiency!
I totally agree with you that a leader does not make excuses and just get the job done. Thanks for the response. Russ Falls
Helperhand , I realy like these characteristics of an efective team leader : *The team leader is a fellow team player and friend, not a dictator; *leads by example, not by giving directions; *is a servant, not a master; *is a peacemaker, not a warrior; *is a communications link, not a communications owner.
We think it means all of the above too. You have to be able to lead but lead in so with the whole team and involving others. Hence team.
