What is a status of 500 - Internal Server Error??

    Looking for some help on this one.

    I am trying to verify a new site through Google Webmaster tools. However, when I try to verify the site (by uploading the provided html file) I get an error.

    The error as given exactly by Google is:

    "We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 500 (Internal server error) in the header."

    Not sure if having my website will help; but if you care to look, it is:
    www - tallertips (dot) com

    Any help on how to fix this error would be MUCH appreciated!! Thanks!

    It looked like the filename is wrong or it misplaced where googlebot is not able to find. that why it gives a 404 - Page not found

    can you post exact URL of verification file?

    If you have set 404 error page for your web site, you will need to use META verification for Google Webmaster.

    maybe is .htaccess that cause the 500 Error..
    or is a corrupt configuration of the Exe of the PHP.. like CGI, DSO, SuPHP or FastCGI..
