What is a safe CTR?

most of my sites (blogs) have a CTR of 5%

but i've discovered that the ones i actually enjoy running and have an interest for, have low CTRs. some even 1%

The CTR doesn't really matter. Sure, Google will probably be more suspicious if you have a very high CTR, but as long as you follow the rules of this game you're fine.

 

They will get suspicious if you have a high CTR with zero conversions and find out the click left after the page loaded.

I think 5-10% CTR is good if it is legit.

 

88/90 % is impossible imo; the best way is from 10 to 20!

 

Some of my websites sometimes get very little traffic and high clicks. For example, a site yesterday got 5 hits and six clicks, making CTR over 100%! Of course, traffic from all my sites lowers that ratio drastically usually under 4%. I wish I could average 7%!

A high CTR is not a concern as long as the traffic is legit. It may be a sign that you have lucked into a great keyword combination that is drawing a lot of tuned in traffic to your niche.

 

If you respect TOS and you not click on your own ads you don't care about CTR. I think Google is so smart than can detect TOS violations just your CTR is 1%.

 

r u kidding !! im not talking about being safe or not now all i want you to clarify is how can you get this ctr , dont you have any clickable contents but ads ?

 

i don't understand how people are getting into the 70-90% range. you guys must have really targeted ads and acquire a lot of unique daily traffic.

As you can see from all the responses above there is no ideal CTR. You could have CTR's as high as 25% (which is extremely high by Google Adsense standards) and still be ok, just as long as the clicks on your ads are coming from natural traffic going through your site.

But you could be banned if you had a CTR of only 2%, if Google got wind of the fact that your clicks are coming from illegitimate sources (primarily friends and family clicking on your ads...).

So don't worry about an ideal CTR. There is no such thing. Just try and make is high as possible through legitimate means so that you can earn a lot more Adsense cash.

 

Ive never had a CTR of over 1%, but I would say thats very low.

 

You should be safe, then. 7% CTR isn't high if you have good ad placement.

 

I just cant believe this. Can you post your blog url, i just want to have a look at it, so that i can place ads in my site accordingly. I am getting CTR less than 1$ but i receive more than 1000 impression a day.

 

For me, it should be 10% - 20%.

 

i think safe ctr is 4-6% but as someone said if you dont spam everything is okay... but ctr increasing from 30 and from i dont think what the hell that niche is ... or that website shows only ads? because page impressions are increased with good content so how ctr can be increased they both are inversely proportional to each other...

 

20% is the best way to me!
