I came across many forums and sites offering valuable scripts for free as nulled script!! What exactly is a nulled script?
An illegal version of a script.. its hacked so it can be illegally redistributed. Scripts like that have been modified so much that they usually don't work properly.
Yup you can find them around, usually older versions. Your hosting won't like you if you run them and you get no bug fixes or updates.
Nulled software won't be supported by factual producers. But using nulled software you have a chance to use software for free to see it in action and learn more about it. Then pay your money for the latest version and support from legal producers.
Also you have a chance the nullifiers incuded hacking scripts buried in the folder waiting for the hacker. So when you use the script, the hacker gets notified somehow. Maby a webbeacon or phpMail function. Then goes to the folder with the hacks and has some fun with your server..
Exactly. It's nothing more than that. I have no idea why ppl suggest against using nulled scripts. There's nothing one can do if you are seen using a nulled script. Just make few minor changes to the script and start using it as u like. I havent ever seen anyone get into any kind of problems just for using a nulled version of a script.
many hosts ban if u use nulled scripts...some forum scripts like Vbulletin r nulled in mostw arez forums..u can report them to vbulletin
Aren't they sometimes older versions nulled by the seller to use free to see if you like it then you can buy the ewer better version? Why would a host ban you?
any prove of someone being banned for using a nulled script? and as everyone is saying its just removing the security of the script so it can work without license
they can be. but sometimes a seller retains an older script for sale that people assumed they've nulled just because it's old when it hasn't been officially declared nulled.
As a rule, if you get a nulled script for a source other than the developer/legal owner, it is illegal, period. I do understand the need to test something before you invest in it. Most good developers offer a "lite" or time-limited trial version of their commercial script. If you need to test something (and I don't blame you if you do), simply ask and see. I refuse to buy a product I cannot try out. If the product is so good, why can't I test it first? Also, don't buy anything PHP-based that is ENCRYPTED in the first place. I've made this mistake before - trust me, don't do it.
this is new info for me ..and i find a nulled script of what i use now with there powered by LINK ... but afraid to use .. !!! ???
No, don't be afraid! The type of script you have there is known as "linkware." Simply put, the developer allows you to use the item (software, template, etc.) in exchange for keeping "Powered by LINK" present. That is NOT the same as nulling! Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.
ya wht i mean is .. i got a nulled one of a script wch i use .. with powered by link .. if i need to remove that link i need to pay .. so now in this nulled script i think no need to pay that money to remove the link .,..
Its illegal.. Null = Zero = Nothing = Free Nulled = Make it Free (by hack) Nulled Script = Make it free Script (by hack)
kecoa-ngamuk is correct. Nulled is ILLEGAL unless otherwise distributed by the rightful owner (i.e., some developers will release a lite version of their script without, say, server call backs and such). I thought you meant that you were using true linkware. There are several legitimate scripts that you can use freely that only require a link-back.
