What is a niche???

    I love to work with computers so what are some examples of computer niches???

    Hard Drives
    CD Players

    or would it be more like

    "how to use a computer"

    you can think on "people`s needs" that will give you a more aproped aproach to a niche

    p.e.

    Well like, template design or a interest in a certain area.

    in other words it's a sort of classification.

    I guess you would be in the tech/computer repair niche

    A niche would be targetting a smaller group. For example, in the computer industry, it would perhaps be like alienware targeting the gamers. Or, Dell's business laptops targeting businessmen.

    Or, as you mentioned, targeting those wanting to learn more about computers could be a niche as well.

    Sell computers such as Dell computers etc, computer repair or gaming ( ps3, nintendo wii , xbox 360 ) is really big right now

    A niche is a selected and focused market for example selecting your market to be "computers" would not be a niche however "computers for blind people" would be a niche.

    It is basically focusing on one particular aspect of a larger market.

    A niche is a specialized area in a certain category such as computers that you have specialized knowledge in and would like to specialize in. If you specialize in computer repair, then that would be your niche market to advertise to, people looking for computer repair services. It's specialized instead of general.
