Hi, Sorry to ask this question. I hear a lot about niche market. But I have a question what is the minimum number of searches that is considered good for a niche? Suppose I found a niche and the total number of search each month is 1000. Can I consider this as a niche? Is it worth to build a website around this niche? Please advise. Thanks
There are no rules set out to outline what a niche market is in terms of search volume, if you beleive their are enough searches to profit from your "niche" and the competition is low then you've found yourself a niche
Lets say there was a magic number and it was 2458. What would you do with it? I can make money and do make money from niches with pretty small amounts of traffic... less than 100 searches a day. It's all about matching your content to your visitors intentions. If a person types: Buy womens ugg boots online And you have a killer ugg boots site you win. If a person types in: buy shoes online and you have an ugg boots site, your work is cut out for you.
The question is not just how many searches there are. Many hits and no buyers is a waste of resources. A few hits with willing buyers must be your hot niche!
It's very easy to find a niche market. Just break down any major product category to its smallest fracture, and vila' you have your niche market identified. The question you would like to ask is rather: "Is this niche market profitable? Are these people willing to buy anything at all online? Can I predict conversion ratio?" good luck!

niche market means a product or service to particular group of people based on age, ethnic,habits,lifestyle etc. for example trendy bike are targeted towards youths. And mercedes benz for high end people. Atleast not 4 me lol
