My friend and I have created a site gifninja.com that offers free gif processing to users. We tossed around the idea of charging for the converting but decided to give the product out free and hope we could pick up some advertising. Would it pay to advertise our site to get advertising revenue? if so should we try a different advertiser? I mean I’m doing some small things to let people know that the product exists but other than that do I just hope that the site gets viral, picks up links and Google kicks us traffic? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
What I will do is ask people in DP to review your site and also you can advertised in G using Adwords
how will you get people in DP to review it? Did you check it out? I think it's a great site I just gotta spread the word somehow.
how is a this site affiliate related?!? Start a free link exchange program or directory for anything graphics related: animatined gifs, free wallpapers, icons, etc ... whole point is to build links in to the site. Tons of free directory scripts out there - cheers
These may be obvious but I can think of these of the top of my mind... 1. Exchange links with related sites 2. Submit to popular directories 3. If possible, get some bloggers to review your site. Since you provide a free service, they may be interested 4. Post in forums with your site links (and catchy phrase) in your sig line
