What is a good server program to use for building eCommerce Website?

    Hey Guys,

I built a pretty bad website for my little online business last summer. It has many different products, but since I'm not a programmer, I made a different page for each product (tedious and cumbersome). Anyway, I'm wondering what kind of server program would work for my site. I want to be able to input information, pricing, a picture, etc. for each of my products and be able to use that on my site. What would be a good program for this, and would a regular Godaddy monthly hosting work for it? Thanks so much for the help!

It seems like you need a shopping cart. Prestashop is the best way to go. It is extremely easy to install and once installed, uploading products will be a cinch!

As for hosting, Bluehost is reliable and affordable way to go =)

magento's good & you can get it for free & you can find a better/cheaper host than GoDaddy - try dreamhost - they're really good.

Prestashop is a good solution also - easy to manage - very simple cms...and great tools - also it's a community so there is a lot of stuff free.

My recommendation would be Opencart. It's nicely structured and loaded with features. Also, it's free!
