Realisticlly? .5 .15 .25 .70? I see it fluctuate so much, I see no rhyme or reason to it... ps., I have been at it for only a week or so
depends on your market and term. There isn't any one answer. I have terms i pay close to $2 and some at .25, of course the demand is higher on the $2 term, more searches and more competition.
I wouldn't be able to give you a point of reference. There are tools to study this, if you have an overture account it may help. I think DP even has a tool. But the info I have I won't give out.
I have overture acct, what option do I select? I totally understand your concern of not telling, btw. Can you direct emto the DP tool??
Price is determined by a bidding process between advertisers. Google then has a method for determining what your site is about (keywords) to figure out what ads will show and the quality of your site. The keyword is the most important factor in determining what the advertiser will charged, which directly affects your pay. I have had clicks as low as 1 cent and as high as $30. Some people would be very happy with 25 cents average - others wouldn't. I would say that a lot of people average under 50 cents a click, many under 25 cents. Hosting sites and Mortgage sites are going to average a lot more in most situations. The type of site and how google views it is going to have the biggest impact on what you are paid. Getting your site to rank well for a term will increase your PPC. Authority sites are not hit by SmartPricing.
Whats an authority site? And are you notified if you get hit by 'smart pricing? Sorry if these q's are stupid, I appreciate all the info
I'd say on average I get around 10 - 15 cents a click over my sites. Though some of my sites get around 25 cent average while others bring my total average down because they only average 5 - 10 cents a click. That said my niche is a pretty bad one - but I didnt start my sites for adsense... PPC is totally dependant on market forces - lots of demand for advertising with low advertising space will lead to high prices and especially with things like loans and credit and stuff like that because if someone converts a sale from a click from adsense they stand to make thousands so thye'd be willing to pay $2 for a click that could make them thousands. Some industries just don't make any money from visitor would probably quit adwords if it cost more than 10 - 15 cents to get a visitor to their site.
