For right now, my site is 1% conversion rate. For example, if 100 people visit my site, 1 person signs up. Is that good?
Nice really if its a free signup thats really low...can we see the site to maybe give you a few pointers on raising conversions??
What sort of site is it? Do they get any benefits from signing up? Is it easy to find where to sign up etc. People are lazy, make it easy for them.
Well, it depends on what you are doing 1% is alright if you are making decent $ per conversion. We convert at 3% on RON traffic and up to 17% on targeted traffic.
Yeah I can help you out with traffic suggestions free of charge lol. Feel free to add me on AIM or other IMs listed in my profile.
depends on the demographics of the traffic and how closely the affiliate program you are selling relates to the site, 1:100 isnt terribly bad but i would aim for 1:30
Its largely depend upon type of niche you are working, I got 8 - 10 % conversion on one of my niche site and 2 - 3 % on other niche site with equal effort.
The quality of your traffic is just as important as the quality of your landing page. Without knowing more about where your traffic comes from it's impossible to say what a good conversion rate would be.
1% conversion rate, all from stumble upon Is this normal? It's a student site (http://tinyurl.com/2bjkzn) do many students use SU?
Yes they do. If you are looking for student traffic SU is a good place. I know about 100 other sources just like SU I use for my own program. SU is not the best ... far from it. Any way I can reach you on MSN/AIM/SKYPE/ICQ ? I'll throw some suggestions at you...
A good conversion rate is 100% ....... Doesn't always happen though. Your target conversion rate is based off of funds spent on the advertising method and profit made from the conversions. Example: If I spend $20 at traffic source X and the conversion rate yields $30, that means I profited $10 bucks and even if the conversion rate was only 1% that was still a successful conversion rate. Your true goal really, is to increase profits, test whether or not the traffic sources are yielding a proper return on investment, and if so then try to increase the conversion rate at the traffic sources that are converting well. It's the reason people tell you tracking your results is key, that's because it is.
