What is a good external CD burner?

I might want to burn an eBook to CD so I can sell it in an auction on eBay. What's a good external CD burner? I have a Compaq laptop with just CD/DVD so I need some sort of USB connectable CD burner.

 

You can buy any depending upon your preferences from Sony, HP or LG. All are good and available in around $50.

You can also buy not a new one. I mean that there are a lot of offers selling old burners which are still working. And I'm agree that brand doesn't really matter for this stuff.

I will tell you that iam using LG brand and it is the best on i have ever seen in my life and i will tell you to use this one it is the best one.

 

I have HP and it works fine.

Well, I am using Transcend portable DVD writer from last 2years... and it's still working fine... , But that is fact that the Flash Drives are taking in place of CDs-DVDs, But yet still for few years we have to depend on these optical drives for OS installations, GAMS etc...

 

I am using Samsung 8X Slim DVD Writer last 1 Year. Just simply plug it to the USB port to get power and no need to worry about the AC Adaptor. This model supports both 12cm & 8cm discs and also Manual Disc Eject option can let the disc ejected even when the power is off! It is Best.

 

Try Plextor PX-880U. It has really good features.
