As we all are, I am working on SE rank and wanted to see if anyone has a very good "deep" linking strategy that works? Thanks!
Deep linking is just linking to your internal pages, so just link to the internal pages that you want to draw attention to using relevent keywords
it works great to reference your inner pages in blog posts and forum posts when your inner pages complete the information originally provided by the blog owner or the forum poster...and invite others to discuss your thought on the matter...
Are you talking about dynamic pages, Brandon? I suppose you'd better make them look like static pages to SEs, cause you may get in trouble here (you know - all those duplicated content filters and so on...)
No I don't. I am new to all this and did not design my site. I am trying to soak up as much info as possible. What do ya mean get in trouble "here"
He means if you're pages are dynamic with similar content on each then you can get penalised/deindexed by Google. Normal dynamic pages are fine if you're using PHP, if you want to PM me the site and I'll take a look. edit - if it's the site in your sig you should be okay, though you can use a mod-rewrite to make the .php pages look like static HTML if you want.
If I were you I would also setup some inbound links for your internal pages. You dont have to do to many but I would also suggest building a sitemap link that has all these interal pages and I would ad that link to the top of my homepage. Something else you can try is spiderbits. Huge companies use spider bites so I would suggest that to you as well. the best thing you should do is get familiar with some webamstering and SEO tools like the ones found on my forum
The way I set up my sites is: index page -> site maps -> deep pages I am always 3 levels deep and it is very easy for the SEs to find all my pages. You need a good hierarchy.
