As a vendor, I really want to know that is a good conversion rate, so that I can have that target in mind and improve the content of the sales page, auto-responder, newsletter quality,...

Any one has ideas? I saw danc1122 post conversion rate is around 2.8%.anyone else? thanks

Depends very much on your niche. My best CB product converts at 11%, my worst at less than 2% (I'm an affiliate, not a vendor though).

Average is 2% - 3%. Anything over that is great. 11% is Fantastic...you should let me know what product that is :)

depends upon how much time and money you spend for the traffic. If it a not a targetted traffic even .001 is good, if it is a targetted traffic then 3%+ will be good!

With a fairly targeted traffic, I consider good anything from 2% or better.

Normally 2.5 to 3.5% is reasonable but depends on brands/sites you are using eg amazon/ebay convert at 15-17%

You also have to take the amount you earn per sale into consideration.

If it is a huge commission, even without a great conversion rate, it can be profitable.

To Ripped's point, conversion rate isn't as important as the profit margin. You have to figure in commission and cost per click.

If you sale something with a $20 payout and get 3% conversion which many said was good, that means you would make $60 per 100 hops. If you are paying for traffic and you are paying .60+, then 3% sucks. If you are paying .30 per click, then 3% is great.

With that being said, I have been very successful with products (as an affiliate) that converted 1.5% - 2%. I spend my time getting my quality scores up and my cost per clicks down so that almost any product that is above 1% can be profitable.

I am a ppc guy so I see it from that point of view.
