What is a good Blog clickthrough rate?

I have always found that blogs have the least amount of ad clicks. Second where forums. The best are always highly individualized pages.

My Blot CTR is incredibly low. How is your blog CTR compare to your sites? What is a good target CTR?

It depends on the topic I guess, one of my blogs has a very good CTR without much optimization and another one where I have tried every possible different placement with different kind of ad units has a really low CTR (really, really low).

I don't think categories or keyword chasing in blogs will really do much -- the best paying blogs are those with not just a long history (18-24 months) but a long history of consistent updates. My best paying blogs are ones that I update at the same time every day or week.

Give it time, time, effort, time, effort, time and effort and you'll see almost any category growing in income. Oh, and don't forget time and effort, they're just as important as time and effort. And time. And effort.

Double figure CTR seems incredible in my mind.
    I'd make 7000 a month if I had that

    Out of how many visitors/day?

I think people need to keep in mind that the number of daily visitors dramatically changes the expectations for CTR for any given site. A high traffic site (100,000 impressions a day and up) would loooove a CTR over 2%, because that will mean it's making $1000s/day, but for the most part the CTR hovers at 1.5%. A low traffic site (100 uniques/day) can easily score double digit CTR, because the stats are skewed by the low traffic count.

I assumed he wouldn't have made the case if it were a low-traffic site but maybe you are right.
I'd be happy with 2% CTR

ditto...I didn't see the point of that. But regarding this...

I agree...If you have 1 visitor a day, and that visitor clicks 2 times..that's a 200% CTR assuming he only stayed on one page...

When people shout our their CTR...they never tell you how many pageviews they get or whatever...but it's true, the more pageviews the lower the CTR which is common sense.

50 -70 clicks at a minimum then. That's not too shabby.
I am doing less than that with about 4000 visitors per day.
On the blog I really write for ( I help my friends with the others) I have 2200 visitors today and have only earned .03
