What is a fast, inexpensive way of having a website?

I just want a fairly simple looking website that has a bar at the top where users can select things. Some of the pages will be primarily written content, and some will be short movie clips.
I also want to have an online store, and I do not really like cafepress. I don't really want to advertise a merchant company like them anyway.

    Thanks for your help

Why am I reminded of the old phrase:

You can have a website three different ways - fast, properly written, or cheap... Problem is you can only pick two.

    Thats a nice phrase deathshadow.

I'd choose fast and properly written. Guess thats the obvious choice.

    You want free webhosting?
11mb.com offers free webhosting deal, too bad that they took out mysql away, but you still have php.
another site with free hosting is 000webhost.com

I am sure there are more, but those should be enough.

Try wordpress.com or blogspot.com - You can use the blog engine for a regular web site (not necessarily for a blog).
