Title says it all. What is a deep link and how do you submit them to directories? Is it like a specific page on your site or something?
A deep link is a link from another website to one of your inner pages, rather than to your home page. Directories generally require that you submit your home page. But some directories specifically state that they allow you to submit inner pages. In that case, do so. These "deep links" to inner pages are considered very helpful for your site.
Example says eveything Deeplink: http://yourdomain.com/blog/32/4/23/some-thinghere/ Home page link: http://yourdomain.com/
What we have been doing to get deep links is blog entries... search engines love them and you don't have the restrictions of directories. Good luck!
Yea, I use Google Alerts to find specific blog topics that fit one of my articles - then I can comment and get a deep link to that article (whether it is Do or No Follow).
Hello A deep link is a link to inner page of your website. Its importent to get some backlinks for inner page, helpfull for good search results by google. Visitors are not comming all over the homepage link, there is more produkt seach, searching for some themes in google! Exempel: My hompage www.powernetshop.at get the most visitors over deep links, ist about carstereo, peaple do a lot product seach thats why ist so importent to rank with some product keywords or brandnames in the top positions.
When building links you should build some deep links (links to inner pages) as well. That makes the whole process looks more natural to Google Good luck!

Make sure when you submit in a deep link directory that the pages with the deep links get indexed. Many seem to be buried in directories and have no chance of being seen by the bots.
