what is 2.0?

    Web 2.0 is basically the transition away from normal websites to more interactive websites that aim to enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users.

    It is a concept with no official standing or specification. The next major direction is the Semantic Web -- well into development and coming soon:
    The Semantic Web - RDF, RDFa & FOAF

    The present Web is one of inter-connected documents -- the Semantic Web will be one of interoperable data.

    Web 2.0 is more of a sharing among users thing. It also has some "looks" attached to it, such as shiny logos, strong colors etc. Web 2.0 logos usually suck, but there are some nice among them out there.
