I just tried to visit yahoo.com I got a message saying "thanks for coming to our site but you are using a browser that we dont support yet". Then it just shows me a screen shot of their new homepage design. Thats all, it wont let me on the yahoo.com homepage at all because I am on IE7. It said they only support FF 1.5 and IE6, why the hell would they block people form their homepage? Is it just me, or is this a retarded idea?
their new layout is only working for ie6 and ff right now. I wasn't able to view the new site with opera 8.5, but now it seems to be working ok since I upgraded to opera 9. You should at least be able to see the old layout though. Try deleting your cookies/cache and then trying again and yeah, it's pretty much retarded, as you say, to go live with a site as popular as yahoo's without being able to support every browser.
You know, Google's homepage works in IE version one! I mean it's not awesome looking, but it displays and it's usable. Yahoo's homepage is completely useless in IE one. This is unfortunate because IE version one is my browser of choice... the only one I really ever use. Finally decided to go out on a limb and switch from Lynx....
