What if your blog page isn't on home page?

My blog is a link to an internal page. Is anyone else doing this?

Will a lack of keywords on the home page but plenty in the inner pages affect rankings?

 

You shouldn't have a problem getting an internal page to rank. Look at matt cutt's blog.

 

If your blog is an internal page and not your homepage, I dont see that as a major problem.

Do a search on your chosen keywords and have a look at your competitors - you will notice that there will a lot of pages which are not the home page, but an internal page.

If your blog is optimised well enough, google will find it.

 

You should make some text and copy for home page to help in search engines.

 

as long as you do SEO on the page then traffic will follow
