what if Yahoo or Microsoft buys Adbrite

People are using adsense and not even thinking of other PPC programs, it is only because google is big name. So i just thought that adbrite is a good system and people are aware of it so why is yahoo or msn trying to establish their new programs, why can't any one of them takeover adbrite. Suppose yahoo or msn buys adbrite will there be tough competition to google. There should be. I hope something like this happen so that there is relieve for publisher's as well as advertiser. The web is getting limited to adsense and everything is done according to google, we only think about google adsense and what will google like. May some other big names in the market can free us from monopoly in which we all are engrave.Infact yahoo and msn are trying hard to capture this market and make money and they will comeup with some great programs

What does it matter? If AdBrite switches hands, you won't be affected in any way. They won't increase the % of profits for you, but they might decrease it. Look at the gas prices in Canada. After the oil-platform, which was destroyed a few months back, was fixed, the prices didn't decrease. Gas still costs more than a bottle of Coke.

    Adbrite doesn't suck.

I agree with what you are saying. Google needs some legitimate competition. M$ has more money than Google, they really need to get in the game. I just don't understand why a billion dollar company like M$ can't get their stuff together.

The funny thing is, M$ has way more money than Google and Yahoo. They could buy both Google and Yahoo out and pretty much own the web.

That is if Yahoo and Google were interested in selling.

Adbrite is an ok ppc tool. I am not sure though MSN or YSM will buy them any time soon.

AdBrite could be a really good thing if their customer service didn't turn me off so much. And I don't know if Yahoo or Microsoft buying it out would make it much better. I have received some good traffic/money from Adbrite, but when you can't get a simple thing fixed then it doesn't look so good....

I got a feeling that Google will be buying Adbrite at some time in the future.

When you think of making money on internet you are in anyhow on mercy of google. If some big name enter the market and do it on large scale like google than i think google will atleast think before banning accounts.

If MSN or Yahoo buy's Adbrite, then it will just downgrade their companies. MSN or Yahoo purchasing adbrite would most probably be one of their worst decisions they would ever make.

Adbrite is more likely to get purchased by other companies like Adengage I would think just to cut the competition.
