What if Wikipedia Starts Google Adsense Ads?

    I was thinking if wikipedia starts putting google adsense ads, what will be their daily earning. I find wikipedia on top for almost all the keywords.

    Then there will be more search on google for
    block wikipedia ads
    and eventually more hits for adblockplus :D

    Do you put adsense on your site if your site is only about blocking advertisements? I don't disagree with people who want to do this, but that would be ironic.

    Wikipedia has some type of advertisements on that site. I've seen them before I think, but that might of just been during the time they were raising money. I also don't think Wiki can profit since it wants to stay in the fair use area.

    Wikipedia will always be sponsored by donations . They pride themselves whit being Ad free .
