What if two directories use the same database?

    What are the downsides of having two directories using the same database? for links and categories and everything?

    Duplicate content I suppose would be the main factor.

    Nothing much, just the google hell

    Most pages would end up in the supplemental (duplicate content) and that would reduce your dir's listing sale value

    I never understood the concept of using the same database
