What if there's no Google update?

    I'm just wondering what if there's no Google updates happened? What would be the outcome?

    You question is too vague... what do you mean by no Google updates?

    are we talking about Google Pagerank update - if so, then people will move on to other stats like Domain authority for example. Google can't kill the internal PR - that is a must if they have to rank sites. They can, of course stop displaying the PR publicly for good.

    if you are talking about the - Google algo-update or the update of their serps in general - that is a must. Otherwise the search results will stagnate soon,

    If Google PR updates stopped happening it will be an official SEO Holiday :D
    Another good thing thing is that maybe...just maybe...people will stop constantly talking about it, how to increase it, how to cheat it or whatever god-knows-what action to perform with this useless metric :)

    I never will understand why marketers are so concerned about PageRank. Yeah it's nice to see your site go up to a PR3 or 4, but what really counts is the SERP.

    you mean that what if google will never update their page rank status right ?
    in my opinion google may stop refreshing page rank.
    but if page rank will die it is not a problem.
