It's not a GB thread. It's a UN thread. Those guys at the UN couldn't manage a play-dough group. The further away we can keep the internet from their pointless committees, the better.
I don't think there's any threat. Best thing about the internet is that it's pretty much unmonitored (at least in Western countries). Nobody wants the internet to be filtered or taxed in any way. Without the people, there's no internet.
The better question would be, what else could they do? There was no WMD there according to NSA and Bush, you can not destroy something that doesn't exist.
Ummm ...... Yeah ..... I must've been in a deep coma for the past several weeks or months ..... what the heck is Internet 2?
In case their will be something like internet 2 it will never pick up and will be looked at as a copy of the original - as usual.
isnt internet2 just a new buzzword for some "new" internet technologies (feeds, ajax, faster connections, etc.)?
at the moment internet 2 is an extremely high speed data network between universities and some government facilities i believe. only select places have access to "internet 2" you're thinking of web 2.0 which would be feeds, ajax, pingbacks, etc and all that crap.
I really doubt that that will help at all... without the tin foil hat, the aliens will get him again and fill him with all sorts of new nonsense...
