What If The Adsense Program Would Be Terminated Today? How Would That Affect Your Life? We keep our fingers crossed every day and pray that tomorrow will bring us another fine day of good Adsense earnings. But what if Google decides to pull the plug and terminates the Adsense program? How would that affect your life? I still got my lousy daytime job, making enough money with it to pay for the bills. But if Adsense would disappear I would surely lose some good cash that I use for nice trips to places like Paris, London and Rome. I also would lose a great deal of fun and excitement in my life if I couldn't run my Adsense "business" anymore. The future somehow would look less bright and I really would do anything to find programs that could replace Adsense. What would it do to you if G decides to pull the plug?
I've just started using affiliate links on my website and in the first week I've made four sales. So far it hasn't added up to much in cash but it's a start. I'm going to expand the shop on my site and see which does best, Adsense or affiliate links. I have Adbrite on another site. It doesn't pay all that well but I think if I worked more on the site it would bring in a bit more money. Most of all though I enjoy getting emails from people who like my site and I enjoy reading their entries in the guestbook. I've had emails from all over the world and it's great to make contact with people who share my hobby. If AdSense went down the pan I'd just look in other directions to earn a bit of cash. There's no need for despair.
At the moment, I hardly make a dollar a day with adsense, so it wouldn't really affect me. But I'm sure it would other people who are earning thousands a day.
i try not to rely on adsense only as i have seen that it isnt the smartest thing to do as, if google has a problem you will get less traffic which = less earnings.
I`m sure there are a lot more alternatives on the internet to Adsense for making money. Yahoo in the US right now and for all of us in the future, maybe MSN, Adbrite, affiliates, CPM networks, selling stuff or subscriptions if you have that kind of website.... not exactly the end of the world if Adsense shuts down .
Google won't pull the eadsense program anytime soon (its a big money earner for them). A valid question might be what if you lose a great chuck of your traffic.
If google adsense is terminated today, all the rest of the players in the PPC market suddenly put themselves in the large empty space created due to adsense's disappearence, These companies compete more than they do now byincreasing their PPC pay rates to attract the lost adsense publishers. It will be a whole new world for the most for the advertizer, publisher and PPC company as well. When it comes to GURU publishers those are taking frequent vacations now because they already mastered the art of making money with adsense, they have to work a bit to find the alternative. Lastly PPC was there long before google introduced adsense( google sweetened it by doing ppc as contextual text and image ads) and it will be there without adsense too. But as said by others above you have a healthy pool of alternatives like Affiliate links etc. I feel like adsense will never be taken offline, we all are seeing PPC rates dropping in google many people are making half of what they made last year same time with adsense, with same traffic and same number of clicks. It's good for us to explore and find new opportunites that make us more money.
it'd be bad... I'll have to find an alternative since I have lots of ideas and want to monetize them somehow to keep me motivated to work on them. Google's an easy one but I'll have to switch to alternative sources. Still since I don't earn much I rely on regular job for living and google is more of a hobby. I'm really trying to turn that hobby into a full-time job though and such a blow won't be the best that can happen to my plans
I would just look for another way to make money online I guess. Google is nice since I put it towards a house deposit, but I'm sure there are other good companies out there
The truth...... This will never, ever happen. Why Example: Radio, Tv.. Advertisements have been around for ever. Every business needs a way to advertise to make money and bring more traffic or leads. Even of Google decided to stop their advertisement program there would be other places where advertisers would want to promote their sites and there is where all webmasters would be to make money. Simple as that.
No you would not have to look for a job. You would just have to look for another way to sell your website space. Affiliate programs Other PPC programs. Selling links Video ads etc, etc, etc
pretty sure it is google's largest revenue source. Why would they terminate it without a replacement already out?
