Hi all i recently started making more transactions as a seller,I am selling mostly virtual items so i don't have any proofs to show them. i get chargebacks or disputes in paypal very rarely, so what will happen if i receive disputes after closing paypal account? will that have any effect on me? please share you experiences .
hmm if you can close the account without any problems. then no problem will occur. but if you did this for a log time maybe your account will be limited forever.
If you close your account even before your client is able to initiate chargeback, then I guess Paypal would just inform him that the concerned account does not exist! Regards, RightMan
No, there will be no issue after closed the account. If you are able to close without any problem then do it asap.
Well you can close your account then they can't do anything . Because you are not their customer any more .
so you all are saying that i can close it without any problem, but what about my bank account associated with it, and i have given all real information.
Sorry to say but after reading your post I asked with Paypal regarding this and their answer is they can provide all information of your in case if it is asked in case of a dispute, that may harm you
If you close your PayPal account before any dispute I dont think there will be any problem but there is also an option 60 days money back policy in PayPal, its better you contact PayPal...
Problem is that i am selling digital products , so i think i can't do anything if dispute takes place, so what can i do in this situation? and buyer can dispute within 45 days or 60 days after purchasing item? thanks for all the replies.
I agree with all , don't think there would be a problem after you close your accounts as you are their customer anymore.
