what if i bought a .us domain ?

    i am from india and my hosting is in USA.
    what if i bought a .us domain ?
    and put content from india, content is based on european countries and USA.

    will this thing work ?

    bought .us domain and putting their country data ?
    ............
    writing it clearly a bit

    can i get USA or European traffic if i bought any/some .us domain ?

    Seriously, you'd be fine. for all intents and purposes it would be a US hosted domain
    I have a US domain on a UK server, and most of my traffic comes from the US
    By the way, I'm in Thailand

    If this is still about your porn business plans you should probably engage a real lawyer who can guide you through all of this. If the business is worth doing it will justify the fees spent.

    Don't bother trying to get English speaking traffic to those sites, Anyone that speaks English won't understand what they are about, They read like they've been spun from something useful into something that reads like crap.

    There is actually stricter requirements for .us domain names. You need to reside in the US.

    Not sure if US residency a requirement but certainly you may need to show that the majority of the domains business derives from US interests. I had a .US site deleted as they weren't satisfied with my explanation after an 'audit".

    You do need to be a US resident to own .us domain names.

    Being a US resident and "having a presence" aren't the same thing. Setting up a Delaware company to own the domain would satisfy the 2nd point but not the 1st.
