what if Google stop to update page rank?????

Is there any other (beside Google page rank ) with the help of which we can evolute web site , and assign some rank,

can yahoo, bing or other search engine r capable of it.

Google stop to update page rank? I think if google stop to update PR, maybe will be a another PR

 

Surely, other companies out there would make and advertise their own PageRank technology.

I don't any reason for Google to stop PR, it's been so useful (although abused by some webmasters through manipulation) and an important invention too.

 

I believe that the Pagerank technology is proprietary to google

 

I believe one only Google PR. Because it will calculator extract factors like traffic, quality content & quality backlinks etc.

 

I couldn't care less. People are so addicted to PR but it is not even a ranking factor. There have been websites that has been on position 1 (or at least on the first page of SERPs) for quite some time now for their competitive keywords and MOST of them has what? PR of 1, 2 or 4?

 

If it happens, then.

Reason 1: PageRank become so important on the rank factor, so Google does not want to disclose it any more (likely: 10%)
Reason 2: so many link sell based on PageRank, google want to stop it, (likely: 40%)
Reason 3: PageRank is useless and do not want webmaster waste time on it, (likely 30%)
...

 

I wish that Google will stop updating Pr. its really headache to see fluctuations in Google green bar.

 

I think, google is to give surprise to webmasters...see and wait some time. that what is about to happen.

 

I hope Google will give up PR. Then we will have no posts anymore about PR...

 

Page Rank is a Brand Technology used by Google (http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html) So, PR will exisit untill the company exist and Google love to show to the people even though the improtance of the PR has pull down. As for as one article i read that only < 5% of webmasters are participating in selling links etc.,

 

How come PR related to traffic ? I don't think all high PR websites getting huge traffic than low PR user forums.

 

Yes, you can use your traffic logs to track your improvements or declines instead of worrying about some old and outdated data that appears on a toolbar.

The world would be a better place - because all this silly talk about how important page rank is would stop. PR might be important, but so are dozens, if not hundreds of other facts.

If you wanted to see how important your site is, use some kind of real time traffic script.

If you have enough time to worry about page rank, then you have enough time to post a new article on yours site. All this discussion on PR takes up too much time that could be better used elsewhere.

 

It doesnt really a matter. Many internet user dont even know about PR
