What if Google started charging people for acceptance in their search engine?

    ya there will be instant decrease in the traffic of google as they are now having.I don't think that they will go to kill them self and they have a good earning program in form of GOOgle PPC.

    I am sure that if google would start charging for acceptance in their search engine they'll get reachier than they're at the moment, including a one-time fee at subscribing will not hurt anyone I am sure. In fact, we will accept everything since appearing in top rankings at google can do miracles for our products, websites, stores, etc.

    It's only imagination... That kind of scenario is totally unreal. Google always say about itself that this search engine never won't be for a totally commercial usage. For example - if it would it's home page would publish an advertisement already.

    Google is a bid directory then, you don't need to search anymore, just click on the link with highest bid.

    Doing so would degrade the quality of content their search engine can provide and isn't that against the very philosophy of Google? Things like Quality Score come to mind.

    Thankfully, we don't have to worry about this ever happening.
