(crawl bots) Over the past few weeks I have been testing the way google works on indexing and how often it crawls my site. I was testing which sort of colours got the most attention from people and sign ups when doing this (changing styles every 3 or 4 days). I noticed that google would send more bots to crawl a new layout. pages started to go up on the indexed pages and traffic increased in a major way. I have had 4 google bots nearly every day so far hav'nt seen any more than that on the site. Adsence clicks also increased and revenue has started to burn a hole in google's pocket On another hand I changed the positition of the forums renamed and deleted forums. The same thing happen'd that google bots would increase in numbers that traffic would increase in a major way. The bots also crawled pages that they had stoped crawling along time ago. This has been working now for a few weeks now I have also being trying other technic's which I will give out in the future. So what does this mean to you well if you can test this out you should try it google has repeatedly saidnew fresh content will add to your site pr an traffic woul also increase this seems to be it so far have not seen a pr update yet on the main pag but smaller pages have gained pr of 2 when never having any to start with. If you dont have a forum try renaming pages google has stoped crawling and see if they reindex the pages (give it a go!) (stats of google bots can be view'd on my home page at the bottom drop down box) (Adsence) I had starware.com ads showing up all over my site one ad taking over so I asked here on DP how to block these ads I got all te info I needed (thanks) so I blocked the ads after a few hours lots of ads started to show about 60 of them yes! 60 I have had a massive jump in revenue since this I was making maybe 4 cent every 2 days before blocking this ad, now I am making about $2 a day not much right! compared to the 4 cent I was making this is alot. I have been adding a few sites to the filter and google seems to pick up on more impressions. Going back the 7 months I have been using adsence I have never realy had major amounts of impressions show up even tho my visit rate was going up and up and up. I have learned that not all ads are in your best intrest some ads take over your sites stoping you from making the money you should have been earning all along. I am still testing this out I will report as time goes on. Let me know if any of this info was helpfull.
