Would some of you please like to share what you do as internet marketing. Cause I like to study cases with proven success. Most dont like to share there secret formula. Those who post general words and make fogs around here will be considered as KFC agents. Cause people like to work. What they lack is guidance. If I wanted to decode Morse Code, I would go somewhere else I have seen many Internet Marketing gurus selling there systems that earn them thousands within minutes. If they are (systems) worthy that much, why they have the urge to sell the system for several bucks? Truth speaking I was studying domaining for two years but non told me that its a portfolio game. You register thousands of silly names and wait till someone knock the door to sell one Another thing that I hate most is to Build a List. Hello, Google or facebook wasnt build that way. And what they are after is conversion or sales. Nowadays, traffic has become totally irrelevant. What if the same situation was prevailant in the early 90s. There wouldnt be something like internet as now we know it Just have a closure look at most of those gurus websites domains. Eliteincom-john.com, instant-income-mall.com, affiliate-income-boo-boo-boo.com. Can a serious business be built this way? Around such names?
Mark didnt go after money but he built something that will ever last, facebook. its bigger than any who call them gurus can ever imagine of. Will be a 15 billion finacial eco system by 2014. Steve Jobs instructed him to build better products and world would take care of the rest. He did and the rest bought his shares 30 bucks a piece. I too like to follow my passion. But know in the same time that My Passion will take me nowhere. I will be broke with a waste of a site. "The judge board" will decide that, "Your site is not monetisable." And they will instruct, "Following your passion can be a disaster". We have to focus on Monetisation from the very inception. I for years have preened warriorforum for Larry's and Brin's success story turned e books. Something titled like "How we made a search engine and made billions within -----years" or something like "Make your own social network and earn a billion like I did" by one Mark Zuckerberg. But I never found them. Instead, I found thousand craps, even one titled "Make your own social network and make millions" by someone else. There are many ways man, it is important to stick to one method for a while and add twists. Most of the methods you see will work but ONLY if you add your own twists. Don't expect people to spoonfeed you methods, you will be only spoonfed methods that don't work in the way they are being posted, but will actually work if you add your own twist to it.
Great post , but I don't agree that "traffic has become irrelevant"..you still need traffic to succeed online.

Nice post,but you should change your title because there are no successful story. Also,the traffic is most important thing in Internet Marketing. If you are selling something you need people to buy. If you don't have traffic,you won't earn anything. All the best for you.
