    I think you are 'bang-on' for general directories but for niche directories a blog with news an commentary and related articles can be valuable for someone searching for that kind of stuff.

    Yes, that does sound good. For example a pet and animal directory with related blog posts would definitely provide value

    Yes, you're right.

    Frankly, I don't think of niche "directories" in the same way as I do "web directory".
