ok here’s is the situation. I just started thing whole networking marking thing like 2 months ago and I want to make sure I know what I’m kind of doing and if I’m wasting my time or not and how things are supposed to work in doing any kind of business online weather it be having a web site or doing affiliate marking or mlm or whatever you want to call it. I joined this forum recently and did a lot of reading. Seems like there are a lot of bright members on this forum. From all the information I gathered I just have a problem sticking everything to gather in my mind. It’s like a file cabinet that fell apart and I’m trying to put it back together. So… below is some stuff thats tell you what I’m doing, what I know about what I’m doing, and stuff that I want to know and need to learn to achieve those other stuff I want to know. And plus … the worst part... I think there is a lot of stuff out there that I don’t know but need to know about and that’s the reason for me making this post. Below is stuff I know and questions that I have. If you have anything to tell me that I need to know about this whole business thing or methods that I need to use or anything. Please tell me. This is what I’m doing right now: -Right now I’m doing affiliate marketing. (if I’m aloud to say this… it’s a free marketing system that I’m trying to get people to join) What I have for what I’m doing right now is a landing page. And right now that’s all I want to work with right now. I don’t have a website or anything so I want to work with this for now before I actually make websites later on if I want to for doing better business. Now what I have to do is get traffic to this landing page… right? And what I know for getting traffic to this landing page is written below: Traffic to landing page -can do: -Forum post in forums about my niche -Use web 2.0 like myspace and you tube .. stuff like t hat -article marketing -e-mail marketing (something like safe lists) By doing the above.. creates back links right?.. should I be doing that? I saw a service where this guy can get me lots of back links to my site… is it worth getting tons of backlink to my landing page or should I only do this If I have like a blog or website or something. -can’t do: -blogs? I’m not sure about this one. If I don’t have a blog.. that means I don’t post on other blogs… right? But if I did have a blog should I do blog posting in blogs about my niche, even if I did this , how would it drive traffic to my landing page? Would they have to go to my blog and then from there click on a link to may landing page? Is this worth while doing or is it a waste of time if I’m mainly working with a landing page. So with my landing page in place, I know I’m not going to have any ads on it or adsence so that scratches all that out. So pretty much I don’t know what are all the things I can do to drive traffic to my landing page and not waste time doing stuff that I shouldn’t be doing. Future: I don’t know if this is a good idea or not but this is what I’m thinking of doing abit later on after I get this thing sorted out with my landing page. In the future I am thinking of making a blog that will have stuff on it about my niche and will have links to all my other little business on there that do have landing pages and stuff. So I know I’m going to have a blog so that means I have to do the fallowing to drive people to it: -article marketing…. Like ezine artivles -should I even be submitting my articles to tons of article submission directories -post on other blogs -post on forums -web 2.0 -e-mail marketing .. I don’t know if people do this to send them to their blogs -submit my site to search engines -should I be submitting my site to a lot of directories or just DMOZ and main ones. -traffic exchange (should I be doing this for blogs) -put ads on my blog -adsense -payperclick campains -submit blog to social bookmarking sites One more thing,.. it more important to have your blog higher in ranking than your landing page right… that’s if I’m going to have blog… right? I shouldn’t worry about where my landing page is linked… right? Sorry about these all these questions, if someone can answer these questions it would mean a lot to me as I am very lost in this whole thing. My brain is going to explode. As you see above its just a big mess. So if any1 can, in point form jst right down what I have to do if I’m working with a landing page and what I have to do if I’m working with a blog. What methods I have to use for each and what tools I have to use for each method and in general. If someone can please help me at least have this a bit sorted out would mean a lot to me. Point for or in a irganized maner explanation would be very helpful. I would really like to be succeffull in this whole thing. You help me out I’ll try my best to help you out . All what I have asked is how I can do all this for free. Probably my next post that I will have is how I can do other things if I have some money to spend and where I should spend it. Before I do anymore posts and confuse myself and others… I need to get this figured out first before I go anywhere.
I congratulate you for making this post. Why? Because first you at least do without realising it that you doing something that is important on the Net and that is content. And pretty long but good for you. As you should know you have to create unique content to at least have a chance to succeed online. How do you we create unique content that people read. Well it have to come from your own words not total PLR materials. You need knowledge to create content. How do you gain knowledge? You never stop learning and reading. That should be your main philosophy for your online journey. Never trust anybody before you made your own research first. Your success is determined by your decision not others. If you fail is because of your weakness not others. Excuse will never make you moving forward. So there you have it. If you want to learn affiliate marketing find the most quality resources you can find. You need to understand the whole process of selling thing online. Spend time reading it and understand it. I know you will be overwhelmed by all the information. But take it slow. Don't force yourself to learn all at once but the overall picture you have to understand from the beginning. So all the best. thanks for the reply. when u say process of selling thigs... does that in term mean , methods of getting quality traffic? thats where my problem is with this landning page. What methods do i use to get trafic to it. From what i've read poeple are saying forums, blog posts, article submision and making videos and submiting them to youtube and stuf. This is what i'd do if i was only working with a landing page. The thing that i don't get is how are poeple consistent with their business online. This is whats in my head,... you can only make so many articles about that one business untill u can't write anymore ince they will all be the same, and the same goes with teh blogs. You can put you link in blog comments if its relavent to the blog post. .. and the chances of poeple clicking on your name that links to your site is very small. So only thing that comes to mind that will work is forums because u're learning and replying and blogs to sometimes ... and thats it really. Thats all i know right now ... and kinda stuck.. confused. i think i'm trying to do things to fast .. i don't know
