Hello, I am looking to launch an amazon store, and was looking at a few competitors. I know it is in the TOS somewhere, but in checking out a few future competitors, I have seen everything from 0 mention, a simple 'In association with Amazon.com' in the footer, to sites that have logos, search boxes, and blurbs plastered everywhere. So what is the bare minimum, and does it need to be on every page? Thanks in advance.
I think I found what I was looking for: So does this mean that this one phrase, "In association with Amazon", perhaps buried deep within a site, is enough? That would explain some sites where I could not find this disclaimer, it may have been where I did not look, and I see nothing that says it must be on an indexable page, although this would not be a good idea - surely Amazon uses some type of crawler or search engine to check for such disclaimers. Does this sound about right?
I'm pretty sure that Amazon what's you to have a link back to them and also a graphic or text that says "In Association with amazon.com". Other then that, you need to make sure that the price you are displaying is an up to date one if you use amazon web services. You can take a look at my amazon shop (amazonwebshop.com), maybe it'll be useful as a guideline. I think that amazon wants you to tell a little something about the shop, but that's where I use my blog. Hope this response helps. PuReWebDev
I am certain that there is no need for the link back, it states above that you only need the graphic or the text "In association with Amazon". You are correct, you must update your prices regularly - once a month, if I read correctly. They also stipulate that you must not use the name "Amazon" in a domain, here, under #4: http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.htm...F8&node=3440661&no=15879911&me=A36L942TSJ2AJA By the way, what is with that little red dot in the upper right of your post, just below the post count?
Thanks for all the heads up, you'll notice that amazonwebshop dot com doesn't violate the terms of the program, because the site isn't being included in their program. It's not hosting the amazon associates program on it. Now, if you were talking about awswebshop dot com which my first domain forwards to, then it too is in compliance. So says amazon. The little red dot is part of the laser mounted scope. PuReWebDev
