we can only guess what it is, since google never reveal such kind of information publicly. but one thing for sure it's all about "reducing rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis." quoted from their site. so, content rules again.

yep....content is king.....google is going to help content retain its own position.....well......the change made is very significant......and it was not done on global scale....but to north american searches only.........and it created a serious threat to the 'ezine' concept......as you know most marketers and affiliates will get free content to publish.....they will hardly spend on content........but spend more on other methods.......those days are now coming to an end.....now it is going to be mostly the content to determine the rank.....content farms selling fluffs are not going to survive if they do not adopt and adapt.......'increasing the credibility by adding reliability' to search result is what google making to happen......! the calculation is simple....more emphasis on better quality content....!

another aspect is.......you need backlinks as usual.........and you need to pay more attention to traffic as well. surely it is going to be a boon for all traffic sellers.
