I haven't had any big sales yet. One domain (a .com) I bought for $3.17 on eBay and sold it a week later for $500.00. My biggest sale so far would have been a .com that I paid $17.00 for and sold on eBay for $1,025.00 I do have a few I am holding onto for my eventual early retirement and wouldn't sell for under $100,000. or more. Robert
Not bad at all! $497 return on a $3.17 investment, realized in a week is of the order of 1,000,000% annualized ROI. That wouldn't really be the best measure of course, since it assumes you can reinvest the proceeds immediately at a similar rate of return. But the raw ROI is still pretty impressive, even in the world of domaining: 15,673%. Congratulations, and double kudos for achieving spectacular results with a good old .com as opposed to one of those red chip tlds!
Who the hell told you that? I've bought and sold within 2 hours. Transfers between accounts @ a registrar can happen the second after you purchase. Transfer to another registrar are allowed 60 days after purchase.
well my best is bought at $300 and sold at $6,000 (I knew the company which would be interested to get it since that was their name .com ) Cheers, Venetsian.
After making a purchase in 20th august 2007, i sold that domain for a cool 350% profit after 3 months ........my best for the year 2007.
Haven't really been looking to sell any domains, so haven't had a decent ROI. Only really sold CCC.info domains that I bought for 99 cents for $5 But this year, I'm looking to do some selling.
