What happens to child theme if i update the parent theme ?

    Do i need to make any changes in child theme if i update my parent theme

    What are the other benefits to use child theme other than customization .

    depend on your parent's theme function, if there are no big changes, you don't need edit the child theme

    Child themes are set up to NOT change when you update the parent theme. You'll be fine!
