What happens if you buy a dropped domain with backlinks?

    If you buy a domain that has expired and dropped, will pre-existing backlinks on that domain still count?

    To have SEO value of the backlinks you need to get it before it is dropped.

    Whatever backlinks dropped domains had won't count toward ranking. backlinks get reset. This has been the case for several years now.
