What happened with my website? Ranking down

    Hi:

Almost 1 month ago i have launched new website www.checkmsnstatus.com
After 1 week, it goes to high ranking in some keywords, like "MSN Status Checker", "Check MSN status" etc...

And i received almost 700 unique visitors / day from google

But from last 7 days, it is continuously decreasing...
    700, 650, 500, 400, 250, 98, 67, 49, and Today 25

Even with Top keyword "Check MSN status" it is not in top 100.

Or EVEN with "checkmsnstatus" my site is in 5th number...

I don't know what happened with my website.

Can any body discuss this issue?

Your site is fairly new to list well for too long. It got its initial boost for being new, now you are playing in the sandbox for while. Don't worry, traffic will get steady after while if you continue to promote the site. I have several sites that are in this stage of the game and it is frustrating, but I know it is part of the process. Hang in there :)

Yep, sounds like the sandbox has just kicked in, keep building links and prepare for a long wait.

not in sandbox but i think being penalized by google.
    open the google.com/webmasters/tools

try resubmit your sitemap and analyze what's wrong with it

Thank you for all of your suggestions..

I have seen it in google.com/webmasters/tools, nothing wrong with it.
I am confusing about two things.

    1. I have placed adsense after 1 week of launching the site...
    2. I have used free service of someone in DP, to place my link in 200 directories...

Is these two points also matter?

You shouldn't worry about putting adsense too soon but you should worry about having someone submit to 200 directories at once. I've heard that some directories are banned by Google or considered by Google as a "bad neigborhood" so Google might penalize your site. However, I agree more with others that it might be because your site is just new.

Good won't penalise YOUR site, only the offending site, worst case is you won't get any credit for yuor link.

I will suggest you to get some Quality Backlinks ... not Worthless directory submitting or blog posting ... get links from relevant websites !! and Limit Max of 10 Links a Day or Minimum of 1 !! That will surely help u out ... ;)

Its true that the new websites get high boost at first & then they goes in sandbox. Nothing to worry a lot. Just start building quality content & backlinks for your website & soon you will find yourself out of sandbox.

Google and other search engines love new content. So new sites rank high at first but only for few days.

You need to build lots and lots of backlinks in order to rank well for longer time.

It takes time to get stable links

Now you have to wait and still do what you did to continue work and you will get there

That's normal dude. That's the reason why we are here because of promoting our site and maintaining the SERP position of our keywords. Just to continue link building.
