Their site has been "down" for the past two days with just a pretty unsatisfying landing page...

    Anyone know what happened/is happening?

    Possible website hack? Server issues?

Works for me, that's why I always stick with GoDaddy (never had a downtime problem with them).

Their website is completely down right now... not even the weird landing page... wonder if their name expired and someone picked it up w/o them knowing...

That's a shame that such a big service seems to be down a lot. Not very good for business.

ICANN announce that there is no more free Add Grade Period(APG). I think this will impact the Snapnames business model definitely.

    Hello everyone,

As you are aware the SnapNames service was unavailable between last Thursday evening U.S. Pacific time and today. Functionality has now been restored and important data, including transaction history, has been fully retained.

Note that auctions scheduled to close between July 4-7 will now close on Tuesday, July 8 or later. Please monitor any auctions accordingly.

I'm sorry about this. If you have further questions please email our customer service group at support@snapnames or email me direct at kjelh@snapnames.
